While freelancing for Fffunction I worked with the Wave to enhance the brand for digital. I was asked to come up with concepts to help bring the surfing culture through to the digital space, this included concepts for their website. The Wave then contacted me to help with their retail packaging.

Brief
Come up with concept user interface designs thinking about how users will interact with the site. Make it exciting and bring in the surfing culture style.
Aims
Create reusable elements that can be used by Fffunction to design the rest of the website. Come up with styles that can be used offline.

Concepts
Bringing in The Wave’s brushstroke elements, introducing a new typeface that complements the logo and using a bold layout helps create a unique, modern and easy to digest look.

Retail designs
The Wave approached me to help with the designs of their retail products, including towels, t-shirts, water bottles, sunscreen and T-shirts.

Style
Bringing through the digital styles to the retail packaging helps bring the brand coherency. Fun, approachable with a hint of surf culture.

Responsive
Each concept was designed in various screen sizes, the site was then built fully responsively to make sure it works and looks top across all devices.
